Operation Kino 82: Looper And Getting On Board With Time Travel Logic
This week on Operation Kino, we're reviewing Looper… or maybe we already reviewed it, 30 years ago, back before time travel was possible but illegal. After that, inspired by Looper and it's time travel plot, we talk about time travel devices in movies, and specifically how films that ask you to follow their logic convince you to either go along with it or spend the whole time picking apart the logical holes (*cough* The Dark Knight Rises!) Before any of that, though, there's a lightning round inspired by Looper's Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, plus tidbits, in which Da7e saw Resident Evil: Retribution for some reason, David adores Pitch Perfect, Patches gets arty with Marina Abramovic, and Katey gets earthy with Wuthering Heights. We end, as always, with your lightning round answers for dessert.
Take a listen below and find your downloading options; for more from all of us, you can follow the show (@opkino), Da7e (@da7e), David (@davidehrlich or @CriterionCorner), Patches (@misterpatches) and Katey (@kateyrich) on Twitter.
