Operation Kino 89: Swooning For Anna Karenina, And The New Short The Sleepover
This week on Operation Kino, we're embarking on a pretty ill-fated affair, as we review Joe Wright's gorgeous new movie Anna Karenina. From there we bring you the newest installment of OpKino Indie, in which Da7e chats with Chris Cullari, Jennifer Raite and Carolyn Jania, the team behind the new short film "The Sleepover," which recently won the Cabin in the Woods/Lionsgate/Vimeo contest. (You can also watch the short at the bottom of this post!) Before any of that, though, there's a lightning round inspired by Joe Wright's career, plus tidbits, in which David loses his legs for Rust and Bone, Patches actually tells you to see Brea king Dawn Part 2, Da7e fills us in on the madness of American Horror Story, and Katey evangelizes for the podcast-listening app Downcast. We end, as always, with your lightning round answers for dessert.
Take a listen below and find your downloading options; for more from all of us, you can find out more about "The Sleepover" on Facebook, or follow the show (@opkino), Da7e (@da7e), David (@davidehrlich or @CriterionCorner), Patches (@misterpatches) and Katey (@kateyrich) on Twitter.
