Operation Kino 90: At Sea With Life Of Pi And Trying To Take Our Families To The Movies

This week on Operation Kino, we're only got each other, a lifeboat, and this giant Bengal tiger, as we review Ang Lee's Life of Pi. From there we talk about the dilemma on the minds of many movie fans this week, as we attempt to take our families and loved ones to the movies and toe the line between picking movies everyone will like and actually trying to seek out the good stuff. Before any of that, though, there's a lightning round inspired by Silver Linings Playbook, plus tidbits, in which David talks about Pasolini's Trilogy of Life on the Criterion Collection, Patches reminisces for Free To Be You And Me (which he wasn't actually alive for), Da7e digs into The Walking Dead game, and Katey is fed up with Rise of the Guardians. We end, as always, with your lightning round answers for dessert.

Take a listen below and find your downloading options; for more from all of us, you can follow the show (@opkino), Da7e (@da7e), David (@davidehrlich or @CriterionCorner), Patches (@misterpatches) and Katey (@kateyrich) on Twitter.
