PGA Picks Little Miss Sunshine
The Producers Guild of America awards were held this past weekend, and in something of a surprise move, the PGA selected Little Miss Sunshine as the year’s best film. It beat out favorites like Babel, Dreamgirls, The Queen, and The Departed to take the prize and now suddenly Little Miss Sunshine is a legitimate best movie of 2006 contender.
The PGA is a little different than most awards. They focus specifically on the contributions producers make towards film, so you won’t see acting awards or writing awards in their list of honorees. Their categories are few, and pretty specific. Below is their full list of 2006 movie and television producing winners:
