That Rooty Tooty Toy Company is always up to something. Apparently, in addition to making toys and hosting class field trips, they make military robots. I’m pretty sure that’s what Hasbro is also doing; it’s the new business model. When the military robots end up going home with four kids, it’s insane hilarity at it’s finest. At least that’s the plan of an upcoming Disney movie called Pet Robots.
The movie will be based on a comic book by Scott Christian Sava, a veteran of TV animation. According to HR, the script is being written by Colin Trevorrow. Trevorrow hasn’t written anything I’ve heard of, but does have a couple of projects in development, including this one.
Sounds like this will be aimed at the younger Disney fan. The Amazon description of the comic book says four military robots follow home four students who get lost on a field trip to the Rooty Tooty Toy Company. The founder will do anything to get them back. Has harmless kids movie written all over it.
