Prequel Plans For The Unborn?

You've got to be a little skeptical when people start talking about making prequels for movies that haven't even come out yet. Especially when the movie is something like The Unborn, a horror movie coming out in January that won't necessarily be the worst thing ever made, but isn't guaranteed to tear up the box office either.

But apparently writer-director David S. Goyer (he of Blade: Trinity and The Invisible) has already floated the idea of revisiting the story before it even gets told. "David Goyer was talking about maybe doing a prequel," star Odette Yustman told JoBlo. "And hopefully working with Carla Gugino - she plays my mother in the movie - so maybe developing that story a little bit more."

Yustman stars in the movie as a young woman who is haunted by the ghost of her twin brother, who died in the womb. I guess following the story of the mother, maybe while the two of them are still in the womb, would gie plnety more opportunities for creeping people out with spooky kids. But will anyone actually want to see it? We'll have to wait to see how The Unborn does on January 9 to find out.
