Disney is hard at work turning the popular Prince of Persia videogame into a movie. Apparently they’re pretty serious about it, because a first batch of concept art for the film has just slipped out onto the net via the Italian site Bad Taste.
It was almost a year ago that Disney first hired a screenwriter to turn out a script for it, and things have been pretty silent on it since. But BT claims that Disney is targeting the movie for a 2008 release.
The production are looks sharp. It’s not exactly standard period stuff. It’s like Gladiator with a slightly fantastical bent. Apparently this isn’t some production on the cheap, they’re turning this into a big budget, high dollar movie.
