Puffball Lands A Cast
Donald Sutherland and Samantha Morton are both very respected actors. They don't jump on the trashy scripts that many other actors eat for breakfast. So I'll go with my gut and say that Puffball has some redeeming quality that the plot synopsis is leaving out.
According to Production Weekly the talented duo have signed on for Puffball, a movie that's actually not about a fluffy feline. Instead, it's the story of a married couple that move into a broken down cottage along the English countryside. Their relationship hits a rough spot, and not because he keeps leaving the dishes in the sink. Bad weather hits, along with spooky supernatural events, and some extramarital shindigs.
The film is an adaptation of Fay Weldon's novel of the same name, and her son Dan Weldon adapted the screenplay. Nicholas Roeg has signed on to direct. The film will shoot on the Monaghan/Armagh border.
No, I have no clue where that is. Sorry. Production begins in November.
