For the last few months, critics and fans alike have been infatuated with the original Walk Hard trailer. As Cinema Blend’s resident musical elitist prick, I felt it was my job to be underwhelmed. Sure, the clip may have had its moments, but they were sandwiched between a seedy bun of overused sexual innuendos and below-average bantering. My concerns have now been alleviated.

The R-rated trailer for Walk Hard just landed on my desk, and it is obscene, raucous, and most of all, hilarious. John C. Reilly’s characterization seems to be channeling his subtly brilliant performance in Boogie Nights, and the cameos appear continuous and well cast. I chuckled out loud at Tim Meadows’ take on a reefer-smoking enthusiast, and Christopher Guest favorite John Michael Higgins even pops up in this promo as an opinionated record producer. Naturally, Jenna Fischer is also present in all her stunning glory.

Here’s the trailer, in all its glory...
