Rambo IV Reviewed!
The guys over at The Latino Review have managed to get their hands on the script for Stallone’s long rumored Rambo IV: Pearl of the Cobra, and have delivered a script review.
They confirm what we already knew about the plot, that it’s about Rambo protecting Christian missionaries from pirates. Not Captain Jack Sparrow pirates, but the modern kind with AK-47s. When he fails, he puts together a team of mercenaries to rescue the captured relief workers.
More important than their breakdown of the plot is that they give the script a pretty positive score. They give it a B+ rating and say, “It is really, really good.” Can’t get much more definitive than that. It sounds like it’s in the second half of the film that it becomes most like Rambo of old. The review says that the later part of the movie is, “pure action” and add that it’s “extremely violent and gory.” Lots violence is good. Why else would anyone see a Rambo movie?
If you don’t mind a few very minor spoilers, click over to Latino Review and read what they have to say about Rambo IV: Snake Eater… er I mean Pearl of the Cobra.
