Randy Quaid Teaches Tennis
Oscar nominated actor Randy Quaid (no seriously I just looked it up) is on the verge of joining a tennis comedy with Seann William Scott. The Hollywood Reporter says he's considering a movie called Gary the Tennis Coach as his next project, and no he won't play Gary.
Seann William Scott plays Gary, and the comedy casts Quaid as his mentor. I'm not sure what makes that funny, presumably there's some wacky plot here which we just don't know about yet. Maybe Gary teaches kids by yelling at them and buying them beer, Billy Bob Thornton style. Being mean to kids is always a hilarious possibility.
The last time you saw Randy he was playing a homophobic cowboy trail boss in Brokeback Mountain. After that he was in the 2005 movie The Ice Harvest, but no one actually watched it. Right now he's just finished work on Goya's Ghosts, a film timed for a late-year release to maximize possible awards attention.
