Red Band Trailer For God Bless America, From Director Bobcat Goldthwait
Bobcat Goldthwait used to be known as that stand-up comedian/actor with the funny voice, but that all changed in 2009 when he directed World's Greatest Dad. A blacker than black comedy about a dad (Robin Williams) who capitalizes on his son's death and becomes rich and famous, the movie was a smash hit with critics and while it didn't make much of a dent box office-wise, suddenly Goldthwait became a director to keep your eye on. Now the filmmaker is back with another new comedy, God Bless America, and this one could be even more screwed up than the last.
The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and will be available OnDemand on April 6th before being released in theaters on May 11th. Now we have the first red band trailer for the movie, which comes to us courtesy of Hulu. Check it out!
God Bless America stars Joel Murray (who you may know as the youngest brother of Bill Murray) as Frank, a middle-aged man who is completely alone and dying from a large tumor in his brain. Knowing that he doesn't have much time left on this Earth, he decides to go on a killing spree, taking down all of the people that he views as being destructive to the way that society works. In his operation he recruits a young girl named Roxy(Tara Lynne Barr), who tours the country with him getting rid of America's scum and villainy.
