Rob Schneider: Father Figure
Rob Schneider is about to become a child's fantasy. Parents: Hide your kids.
The Hollywood Reporter says he's signed on to star in the new independent family fantasy film Juliana and the Medicine Fish for director Jeremy Torrie who is in no way associated with Adam Sandler (at least as far as we know). This marks the first time Rob has gotten a significant job without his Happy Madison buddy since Judge Dredd and we all know how well that turned out.
The film casts Rob as a father trying to save his troubled relationship with a 12-year-old daughter and at the same time his fish lodge. While hanging out around the water, his daughter discovers an ancient secret near the lodge. Whatever it is that she finds, it helps smooth things over with he dad and get in touch with nature. It's probably not an arrowhead.
Before being bought up by Hollywood to churn out as a feature flick, "Juliana and the Medicine Fish" was a book Jake MacDonald I'd be shocked if when he originally wrote it, Mr. MacDonald envisioned the usually raunchy Rob Schneider as his story's father figure.
