The Rock's First Baywatch Photo Has Something To Do With Alpha Balls
Production on the Baywatch film is in full swing, and now we’re finally starting to get some cool set photos of the behind-the-scenes action. The always social media savvy Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has shared some new info on the movie.
The Rock shared this photo, and some rather intriguing story content, on his ever active Instagram page. Apparently, the first day of filming on Baywatch included a scene involving The Rock and co-star Zac Efron’s "Alpha balls." Oh, boy. I’m not exactly sure what that means, but I can hazard a guess or two.
It sounds like Mitch Buchannon (The Rock) is going to feel compelled to give a I’m-gonna-make-a-man-outta-you "beach speech" to Matt Brody (Zac Efron) at some point, probably pretty early on in the film. So, let’s just delve right into what an alpha ball is, shall we? The most likely explanation is that Mitch needs to get across the seriousness of acting as a lifeguard at a busy public beach. You don’t just sit around drinking beer and ogling pretty ladies while bay watching; no sir. There are drowning people to pull out of the ocean, and sometimes they will be a mile or more out to sea. There are possible shark attacks you have to look out for. There will even be some random medical conditions that come up for which you’ll have to be prepared for. So, toughen up Matt. You’re going to have actual work to do.
Of course, manning up is only one option for the meaning of alpha balls. The other possibility has a lot more to do with Mitch and Matt’s snazzy swim attire. You don’t just need to be tough as a lifeguard, you also need to be physically fit for all the saving and such. Do you think a sloppy dude would fill out those wet suit tops as well as Mitch and Matt? Of course not. Their shorts are (rather disappointingly) forgiving, but those shirts are not. You need guns and pecs and abs, my friend. Alpha balls are actual, manly strength. The only kind of strength that comes from big, healthy, intimidating man balls (as opposed to, I don’t know, beach balls or something). I’m not sure what sort of alpha ball-like attribute the lady lifeguards will need, but I’m sure you can fill in that joke all on your own.
Well, it looks like The Rock and Zac Efron will be ad-libbing their way through some amazing comedic action when Baywatch hits screens on May 19, 2017. I think we should all keep an eye out for the alpha balls, too. I’m sure they’ll be on display one way or another.
