For a movie named after British slang that I still don't think I understand, Rocknrolla sure is getting a lot of my attention. I feel like the internet has been talking about it nonstop since it debuted at the Telluride Film Festival, and even though the movie hasn't even officially debuted, the sequel is apparently written and ready to go.

Premiere snagged an exclusive interview with director Guy Ritchie in Toronto, where he said that he had so much he wanted to write for the first Rocknrolla that he went ahead and wrote a sequel at the same time. "It seems as though that there were so many stories still left from this that I would have either made a three hour movie about this or I would have made two one and a half hour movies. So it spilled over into another one, so I've already written it..."

And it's up to you, dear reader, to make sure the sequel sees the light of day! Ritchie continues, "I mean, they're not expensive movies to make, right? So I only need a few people to go see this one [in order to] make the next one."

I guess I need to see the actual movie first before I can exhort you to go see it and support Ritchie's cause. But if it's as good as people are saying, odds are we'll all wind up seeing it eventually anyway. Hopefully it will leave us completely ready for a sequel, since Ritchie's already got the whole thing planned out.
