Is there any bigger beating in the world than yet another adaptation of "Oliver Twist"? Maybe the 101st remake of Pride & Prejudice, but aside from that it's "Oliver Twist". If I've got to watch a movie about orphans, let it be a remake of Annie! At least that has singing and dancing. But there's no escaping it, Twist is coming again.
The only thing that makes this version even remotely interesting is that it's being directed by Roman Polanski. Yes, that Roman Polanski. Whose bright idea was it to stick him around young kids? For the coupe de grace they should have made Michael Jackson his First AD.
