Ryan Gosling Plans To Rob A Bank In New The Place Beyond The Pines Poster
The last time that Ryan Gosling and director Derek Cianfrance teamed up, the star found himself being overweight, balding and stuck in a loveless marriage raising a kid that isn't his. But the director's new movie, The Place Beyond The Pines, is a much different kind of film than Blue Valentine and all you need to do is look at Gosling's bleach blonde hair, motorcycle and tear-drop tattoo to tell the difference. And unsurprisingly those aesthetic details are front and center in the picture's new poster.
With The Place Beyond The Pines set to get a limited release at the end of March, Focus Features has released some new artwork for the movie, and while it's a tad bit generic, it's certainly better than the one that was posted at the end of last year, which completely lacked anything even remotely interesting. At least this one has a cool bike in it! Check out the poster below and click on it to see it full size in our database.
Described as a story of fathers and sons, sins of the past, and motorcycles and guns, The Place Beyond The Pines stars Gosling as Luke, a stunt rider who turns to robbing banks so that he can provide a good life for his newborn son. Unfortunately his crimes put him on a collison course with Avery Cross (Bradley Cooper) and ambitious cop-turned-politician. The film premiered at last year's Toronto International Film Festival and will be in theaters on March 29th. Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne, Dane DeHaan, Ray Liotta, Ben Mendelsohn and Bruce Greenwood co-star in the movie, and to learn more about it you can head over to our Blend Film Database.
