The Blu-rays that exist for Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy are pretty terrible. The two good films in the series only have one disc each (Spider-Man 3 has two disks) and the extras that are there aren't very special. It's a strange thing, considering how much money the series brought to Sony, but it looks like they are finally doing good to them. And just in time for the release of The Amazing Spider-Man.
Marvel has announced that new editions of all three Spider-Man films on Blu-ray with extra bonus features. The Blu-ray will be in stores on June 12th, just in time for the July 3rd release date for Marc Webb's upcoming reboot. "Spider-Man" has a run time of approximately 121 minutes and is rated PG-13 for stylized violence and action. "Spider-Man 2" Theatrical version has a run time of approximate 127 minutes and is rated PG-13 for stylized action violence. Extended version "Spider-Man 2.1" has a run time of approximate 136 minutes and is NOT RATED. "Spider-Man 3" has a run time of approximate 139 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sequences of intense action violence.
Looking at this list it would seem that the biggest upgrade is going to the first Spider-Man movie, but beggers can't be choosers, right?
