Santa Goes A Little Crazy In Silent Night's December Blu-ray Release
Silent Night, the sort of remake to the eighties slasher flick Silent Night, Deadly Night will be in limited theatrical release at the end of the month, and if you are down with some sick slasher film moments to commemorate the holidays, have no fear. Silent Night will be available on Blu-ray and DVD beginning on December 4. It’s going to be ho-ho-horrific.
The film star’s Hart of Dixie’s charming Jaime King (who seems to be playing more of a hardass, here) as well as Easy A’s Malcolm McDowell as a local sheriff trying to track down one very bad Santa Clause. I kid you not, this film will feature Santa bringing a reign of terror to a small town as it prepares for its annual Christmas parade. I can’t tell you this film will be awesome, but if it’s anything like Silent Night, Deadly Night the remake will be crazy. Who doesn’t want to see people dying and children crying to bring in a little holiday spirit?
Silent Night clearly didn’t go all out in the budget department, so it’s no surprise the film will come with few bonus features. Buyers will get one featurette with set, called “Silent Night: Behind the Scenes” which seems to be pretty self-explanatory. Luckily, the set won’t be too costly for fans, which sort of makes up for the lack of extras. The Blu-ray combo pack—which also comes with a DVD—will run for $29.99 and the DVD will only cost $24.98.
