Schiffer's First Class
Screenwriter Michael Schiffer, who seems to only know how to write movies about guys who get paid for killing in groups, has been hired by impotent Revolution Studios to write another military picture. Entitled First Class, it’s a conspiracy movie that has Navy mid-shipmen investigating the dark underworld of men training to live in tightly confined spaces. The young recruits decide to bring a the secret organization down, even though it’ll jeopardize their careers, which makes me wonder how much they really wanted to be sailors anyway. I bet they all dreamed of being the Indian or something.
Schiffer’s previous credits include underrated thrillers like Crimson Tide as well as rightfully ignored dung piles like The Four Feathers so it’s pretty impossible to tell which way this one will go.
