As summer movie after summer movie turns into a giant disappointment, all eyes are pointing toward the end of summer and the last two remaining great hopes-- Inception and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. While the Inception marketing campaign has been largely focused on piquing your interest without really telling you anything, Scott Pilgrim is all about explaining the movie to people who have never heard of the comics, and laying down the ground rules. Thus we get six new character posters that introduce each of the film's villains-- yes, there are seven evil exes but two of them are twins so they get to share. JoBlo dug up the posters, and you can see four of them below and all the rest in high-res over there.
If you don't know already, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World stars Michael Cera as a guy forced to fight the seven evil exes of a girl named Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) in order to win her love. Think of it like levels in a video game, although, based on everything we've seen from Scott Pilgrim so far, it's going to be more fun and impressive than any video game I've ever played.
