Seann William Scott Makes A Racket
People just can’t seem to get enough of misfit children and sports. Apparently there is something adorable about watching kids trip on soccer balls, get pounded in the face with baseballs, and slam dunk themselves through nets.
Empire Online reports there is another loser comedy on the horizon, starring more oddball kids fumbling balls. Seann William Scott (forever identified as Stifler from American Pie) will star in Gary The Tennis Coach, written by Andy Stock and Rick Stempson. Scott will be reacquainted with director Danny Leiner, from Dude, Where’s My Car. Ya know, since that combo worked out so well the first time.
In the film, Scott will play a hyperactive high school janitor who decides to find another hobby on top of mopping bathroom floors. He takes on a team of weirdo tennis players and helps them reach the Nebraska state championship, while also trying to assist them in overcoming their misfit pasts.
If there is a valuable lesson to be learned here, it's that we should never underestimate life lessons from the school janitor. He has a toilet plunger and he's not afraid to use it.
