Second There Will Be Blood Trailer
A few months ago, cinema fans were hit with the first trailer to P.T. Anderson’s brilliant looking There Will Be Blood. Today a second version of the teaser was released and to be honest, I’m more excited than John Mark Karr around children. Following through on the title’s promise, there is in fact blood along with plenty of black gold, cult-like religious characters, and some hot, sexy, Daniel Day Lewis acting. What else could you ask for?
There Will Be Blood is P.T. Anderson’s fifth film (Hard Eight, Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and Punch Drunk Love) and the only thing it appears to be lacking is John C. Reilly. I’d complain, but it’s hard to find fault with arguably the best filmmaker working today. Sorry, Ron Howard.
Essentially, the plot follows a tycoon who makes more money than God after gaining the deed to an oil-rich plot of land. Dwayne from Little Miss Sunshine also makes an appearance as a young religious fanatic who preaches to the local workers. There’s no word yet on whether Paul Dano will actually get to speak during the first two-thirds, but since he has several lines in the trailer, I’m guessing that’s a yes.
Without further ado, here’s There Will Be Blood in all its glory....
