With summer over, we’re kind of in a movie-going wasteland. Of the six new movies released wide this past weekend, only three of them even managed to make it in the top ten. None of them was number one. Want a reason? None of them were worth seeing.
So, if you’re hoping for something to get excited about seeing Lionsgate has an answer. They’re releasing their much anticipated western 3:10 to Yuma a little early. The film is getting a sneak peek this coming weekend. It will arrive for a single showing in theaters on Sunday September 2nd this coming weekend. I haven’t seen it yet, but trust me it has to be better than any of the other crap we’re being saddled with this Friday. If you’re starved for something worth seeing, this is it.
After its Sunday sneak, 3:10 to Yuma will then disappear for another week. The film officially opens on September 7th, so this is your chance to one up your friends and see it a little early. Directed by James Mangold coming off a Walk the Line high and starring the likes of Russell Crowe, Christian Bale, Peter Fonda, Alan Tudyk, and Gretchen Mol, 3:10 to Yuma is a must-see.
