See Aquaman And Wonder Woman Together For The First Time
Aquaman and Wonder Woman have been teammates in the comics for decades, but only it’s only now that we’re finally seeing them in live action together. Well, the actors playing them anyway. Check out the first picture of Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot together less than a year before their first film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes out. Check it out!
On Tuesday night, only a day before San Diego Comic-Con kicks off with Preview Night, Momoa and Gadot ran into each other (at what looks like a hotel), and the former Game of Thrones actor decided to memorialize the occasion on his Instagram account. Both actors are expected to appear during the Warner Bros. movie panel this Saturday at Hall H. Although they’re both appearing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it’s uncertain whether they will share any screen time during the film. For one thing, Momoa wrote in the caption that he looks forward to shooting "JL," a.k.a. Justice League: Part One, with her, which may imply they didn’t work together on the 2016 blockbuster.
Although not one of the titular heroes, Wonder Woman will play an important role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and is described by director Zack Snyder as the "gateway drug to the rest of the Justice League." We’ve already seen a picture of her as Diana Prince with Bruce Wayne at a gala event, and presumably she’ll be interacting with Clark Kent/Superman as well. Meanwhile, Aquaman is said to only have a cameo in the movie, which, according to one report, will be through security footage showing him trapped in a containment chamber. Suicide Squad will evidently elaborate on his imprisonment by showing that he was captured by the U.S. government after a fight with King Shark, and his trident is being kept in one of Amanda Waller’s trophy cases. Whether or not these details are actually accurate is unknown at this stage, however.
If the King of Atlantis and Amazonian princess don’t meet in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we can definitely expect to see them fighting alongside each other in the superheroWonder Woman scheduled for release on June 23, 2017, and Aquaman on July 27, 2018.
You can catch both heroes make their live-action big screen debut when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
