Thus proving Paul W.S. Anderson’s Death Race remake is going to be nothing like the original, someone on set has posted a YouTube video of a behemoth of a vehicle passing by the camera, guns blazing. The vehicle is appropriately named a “Dreadnaught” and looks like a combination between a semi truck and a tank, or at least with a tank piece attached.
I’m disappointed. In the original Death Race 2000, the participants were all racers who had built their own vehicles for speed, with a few tricks built in. It was an actual race. More and more this is making me think of Mad Max, with vehicles built to be killing machines instead of with the race in mind.
