September Dawn Trailer Online
I saw the September Dawn trailer attached to Pathfinder back in April, but the trailer is just now finding its way online. Not that I’m complaining. The trailer may very well be one of the worst assembled trailers I’ve ever seen.
What’s wrong with it? Well, if you’ve seen the poster for September Dawn (which is also pretty mundane), you’ve seen the text for the trailer, “On September 11, 1857… in an unspoiled valley…” The text is intercut with footage from the movie, but as the text appears, it’s also read by that domineering, overly-dramatic movie trailer announcer voice. It’s like the trailer editor wanted to make sure you got the point of the movie, so they’re driving it home any way they can. The result is laughable and reminds me of those fake trailers you see in movies that make fun of how trailers are put together.
But don’t take my word for it. Now the trailer is online so you can check it out for yourself. Head over to Apple.com to view the trailer in Quicktime. Then come back here and tell us what you think? Am I completely bonkers or is this just a terrible trailer?
