Seth MacFarlane Spoofs The Matrix In Latest Oscar Promo
Seth MacFarlane is at a very important crossroads in his career. For a number of years he has been one of the biggest names on the small screen, but last year saw the release of Ted, the comedian's directorial debut that ended up being a success both at the box office and with critics. Where will he go from here? In what direction will the industry pull him? Well, we'll be able to see just how well he fits in with the film crowd in a few weeks when he hosts the Academy Awards.
With the show now just a little over two weeks away a new promo has been unveiled, once again featuring MacFarlane inserting himself into classic movies Billy Crystal style. You may remember this bit riffing on Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, but now it's the Wachowski Starship's The Matrix that is getting the spoof treatment.
Hopefully we'll get some better material than erectile dysfunction pill jokes during the actual ceremony - fingers crossed on that one. Also, n case you missed it here is another Oscar promo MacFarlane did messing around with James Bond (albeit James Bond circa The World Is Not Enough). It's Pierce Brosnan time!
The 85th Academy Awards will be held on February 24 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. To see the full list of movies, performers and filmmakers up for awards this year head on over HERE.
