Shadowcat Isn't Lost
Maggie Grace, who plays the brother loving hottie on "Lost" is rumored to be out of X3 as Kittie Pryde. This of course begs the question: Was she ever in? Wasn't that just a rumor to begin with? Now we're assuming that rumor was true but now her rumored hiring has been un-hired. X3 is starting to make me dizzy.
The story comes via someone I'm told is a popular web columnist at a place called Dead Pool, I've never heard of him which probably makes him at least twice as popular as me. This latest rumor about a never properly confirmed rumor comes on the heels of another rumor in which Brett Ratner claimed that everyone, even the cast that had only been rumored would most certainly be staying. Vinnie Jones better watch his ass.
If there's ever been a movie project more convoluted than X3, it's not surfaced in my brief four year stint reporting movie news. Usually, projects in this much upheaval at least have the good sense to keep the insanity under wraps. Not so with X3 which seems all too happy to leak bad news and stupid rumors like a sinking battleship.
My current theory is that they're killing off or forcing out anyone of note in the franchise to make more room for Halley Berry. She is after all an Oscar winner. In fact, I think that's been the plan all along. Maybe that's why Singer left. Fox is buying into the Berry hype. There, mash that up into a jam and spread it across the internet as the latest word from X3, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan are being written out of the series to turn things over to Halle Berry and the youngest, hippest, hottest cast Fox can muster. Ok, I haven't quite figure out where Kelsey Grammar fits into that scenario, but give it time, maybe Ratner will fire him too. I envision him being replaced by Freddie Prinze Jr.
