Did you ever notice that it's typically the women who get shot on 'Lost.' Anna-Lucia - shot (thank Jehovah), Libby - shot, the chick on the boat that Sun shot - shot. Guys seem to get blown up (Artz), smashed by monsters (Eko), or dropped from great heights (Boone.) The gals take the bullets. The first gal to take a bullet was Maggie Grace's Shannon, who was shot by the later shot Anna-Lucia. Anyway, she's going to star in a movie called Taken with Liam Neeson. Pack a bullet-proof vest.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Grace will play Neeson's daughter. He's a former spy and she's kidnapped and forced into the slave trade. Let's see, what kind of slave work would someone kidnap Maggie Grace to perform. It won't be washing the toilets, I'm sure. Neeson uses all his Bourne/Bond spy skills to find his daughter and then uses a blowtorch and a pair of pliers on those responsible. I made that part up.
Also in the cast is Australian actress Holly Valance. You might remember her from 'Prison Break', but you won't remember her from her role in D.O.A., since the karate babes movie keeps getting delayed. No word on who Holly will play.
Grace is going to be seen twice in 2007, as a person who reads a book in The Jane Austen Book Club and in one of those movies where a 50 year old guy gets a 28 year old girl, Suburban Girl. Taken will be the first feature for French cameraman, Pierre Morel based on a screenplay by Luc Beeson and Robert Mark Kamen. The movie will not feature Greg Grunberg, who is playing thought-reader Matt on 'Heroes.' Previously you saw him as the pilot on 'Lost.' A guy who got killed, remember? Taken out of the plane and smashed in the trees. There's a pattern here.
