Shia LaBeouf Hunts For Robert Redford In New Company You Keep Trailer
If you do something horrific in your past and change your identity to run away from it, that doesn't mean that the memory has been erased. In decades of cinema we've seen countless movie characters struggle with lies covering up the past and the unyielding, powerful guilt that comes as a result. It's an emotionally powerful theme that, in the right hands, can pay out wonderfully with a great story to tell. And it's just one of the many featured in the new trailer for Robert Redford's new film The Company You Keep.
The new preview is actually the first footage we've seen from the movie since its first trailer debuted all the way back in August prior to its premieres at the Venice and Toronto film festivals. But finally the movie will be arriving in limited release in April, courtesy of Sony Pictures Classics, and now you can watch a new promo, courtesy of Yahoo!
Based on the novel by Neil Gordon and adapted by Lem Dobbs (Dark City), The Company You Keep follows a young reporter named Ben Shepard (Shia LaBeouf) who finds a big career opportunity when he reveals the identity of a former Weather Underground member who has been hiding under the name Jim Grant (Redford). Grant then finds himself on the run, forced to leave behind his 11 year old daughter, and trying to evade capture long enough to clear his name. The brilliant supporting cast includes Stanley Tucci, Susan Sarandon, Brendan Gleeson, Julie Christie, Terrence Howard, Richard Jenkins, Anna Kendrick, Brit Marling, Nick Nolte and Chris Cooper. See it in theaters on April 5th.
