Sin City Redone By Disney
If you’ve ever ventured into the dicey proposition of a random Google Image Search, then you’ve no doubt encountered one of the internet’s weirder phenomenon: The tendency of marginal artists to create freakish fetish art using harmless, female cartoon characters. Maybe this falls into that category too, but if you ask me it’s a cut above in quality and creativity, and a comfortable notch or two down on the creepy meter.
Over on his website, an artist name Curt Rapala is showing off some fan art he created, in which he’s envisioned a world where the Walt Disney Company was the studio to make Sin City. In short, Rapala has redone all of the Sin City posters, except replacing the female characters with various Disney princesses. Skinny little Nancy Callahan is now played by Ariel, Rosario Dawson has been replaced by Snow White as Gail, Aurora is Goldie, Sleeping Beauty is Shellie, Jasmine wields a samurai sword as deadly little Miho, and Belle gets to goth out as Becky.
