Six Degrees of Sunglasses
Kevin Bacon is expanding his boundaries.
The actor, previously known for acting in just about anything that offered payment of more than a wooden nickel, will have his directorial debut film Loverboy appear at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. Not only that, but according to Variety, the film and director has been tapped to receive the 2005 Ray-Ban Visionary Award.
Loverboy is described as “A neglected daughter becomes a possessive mother in an emotional journey into the heart and mind of a woman who loved too much” on the IMDB website. The cast ranges from Academy Award winner Marisa Tomei to Oliver Platt, mostly made up of people Bacon has previously acted with during his fifty-some film jobs.
Bacon, who inspired the game “Six Degrees of Separation” since he can be connected with just about any actor due to his eclectic mix of films, will now be connected with just about any actor in one step, as long as they are wearing Ray-Ban sunglasses in a movie.
