Slumdog Scribe Gets Animated
News
By Katey Rich
published It seems that our excitement about Simon Beaufoy writing the Wolverine sequel was unfounded. Instead of sharpening his claws for his post-Oscar gig, Beaufoy will be getting animated instead. According to THR, he's signed on to write a film with DreamWorks Animation, called Truckers.
THR isn't giving any details about the story, but Slashfilm claims to have the goods. Truckers is based on a series of fantasy books called The Bromeliad Trilogy, about a race of tiny people called Nomes who struggle to survive in a society dominated by humans. Shrek director Andrew Adamson had originally been asked to direct it, but he moved on to the Chronicles of Narnia instead.
