There are times when two actors who worked together in a television show or a movie will work together again. Some people would refer to this as a “mini-reunion.” Others, like me, might call it “trying to earn a living so you don’t starve to death.” Whatever you call it, two people who used to be on The Sopranos have decided to continue earning money by being in a comedy called Son of Mourning.

According to HR, Lorraine Bracco and Jamie-Lynn Sigler are joining the directorial debut of Yaniv Raz. Bracco will play the mother of an ad writer played by Joseph Cross. The writer returns home in the midst of his parent’s divorce and is mistaken as a spiritual savoir who will solve global warming. Maybe he drives one of those cool electric cars. Sigler plays his love interest.

For those of you who don’t know about The Sopranos it was a mildly popular show about a man who worked in the waste management business. I’m not sure the two ever shared a scene, but they will probably share one or two in this movie and can spend the time talking about James Gandolfini always smelled like Irish Spring soap, if he did. This movie does have an interesting premise and Heather Graham is also set to star, so let’s hope this “mini-reunion” pays off.
