Spectre Clip Shows Dave Bautista Beating The Living Daylights Out Of James Bond
Spectre is coming, guys, and the newest James Bond film promises to be as hard core as the previous movies of the Daniel Craig years. As we all know, there is no Bond without a good fight scene, or 12, and now we have our first look at the super spy trying (desperately) to get the best of a serious opponent.
Wow. That clip comes to us from the JoBlo Movie Trailers YouTube channel, and it’s pretty intense. The sheer difficulty of this train battle is riveting, and we haven’t even seen the whole thing. The scene features actor/muscleman Dave Bautista (Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy) as big old meany Mr. Hinx trying to do our main man in once and for all. I don’t know what more we could need to get us excited for the badass intensity of the newest James Bond movie. Well, that’s not totally true, because there is this:
Oh yeah, you can’t have a good James Bond movie without some car chases and explosions. And if that's not enough to start you salivating, there’s this, too:
Oooooh, see that? It’s all sultry and suggestive without anything really happening. This is exactly what we want from James Bond since they can’t actually fill the whole movie with bombs and fisticuffs and sex scenes. Plus, a little bit of allusion is nice to break up the all the "Bam, Pow!" moments.
Spectre is the twenty-fourth film in the long running franchise, and the fourth to star Daniel Craig as the take-no-prisoners secret agent also known as 007. This movie follows Bond on a world-spanning adventure as he meets a criminal mastermind’s beautiful widow (and probably has sex with her), infiltrates a secret organization known as Spectre, finds an assassin’s daughter (and probably has sex with her), and battles a host of bad guys as he reaches his ultimate goal of getting to this movie’s baddest of Big Bads.
That host of bad guys will probably include Dave Bautista. The actor (and everyone involved with the movie) has been cagy about the exact nature of Mr. Hinx. But, based on the first clip, it would be fair to say that he, at least for a time, no likey Mr. Bond.
I am very excited about this movie, and many other people are too. After a few filmic falters with Quantum of Solace and Skyfall, we’re all looking forward to the return to perfection that was promised to us in Casino Royale. Of course, if the movie turns out to only be as good as the previous two installments, that wouldn’t be bad. It’ll just give us even more hope that Daniel Craig will pick up the mantle once again and thrill us with his wicked portrayal of one of the best characters in history.
