Stallone is Not An Inglorious Bastard

Breaking news! Sylvester Stallone has turned down a movie that will never be made. While out promoting Rocky Balboa, Sly spoke to IESB about the rumors that he’s been cast in Quentin Tarantino’s long long long in the works movie Inglorious Bastards. In short, he’s not doing it.

He says, “No, no, no.” Seems clear enough doesn’t it? Of course as any Tarantino fan knows, it’s never going to happen anyway. QT has been promising this movie since long before Kill Bill, and he’ll keep on promising it until he gets off of his couch and does another project. He’s not quick about making movies, but even by Tarantino standards this one is taking longer than normal. Stallone’s not missing out on anything, there is no movie.

It’s a shame, because Sly would be a perfect fit in this movie that does not exist. Inglorious Bastards is supposed to be an homage to the same-named 1977 movie from Italian director Enzo G. Castellari as well as other similar films like The Dirty Dozen and The Great Escape. The movie is about a group of soldiers on their way to be executed in the midst of World War II. They get a last chance to earn a reprieve, and take it.
