Stan Lee has become the Hitchcock of comic adaptations. Actually, he’s become more of a cameo junkie, if you ask me. Check out his IMDB page, and you’ll see that he’s been in some 25 movies since 2000. His cameos have been like real life Where’s Waldo with movies like Spider-Man and Iron Man, some proving easier than others. And it seems this trend will continue in Marvel’s coming flicks.
According to the man himself (via Twitter), Stan Lee will definitely have a cameo in Thor. Stan tweeted, “Due to Thor, I must start rehearsing my thee's and thou's. So, if thou objecteth not, I wish thee well! 'Nuff saideth.” Thor, which will be released in May of 2011, already has Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins signed on to star.
Considering that Thor is one of the least popular Marvel characters, it may still be a struggle to get this franchise off of the ground, even with the inevitable Lee cameo. But I guess that’s what we thought of Iron Man too, and look how that turned out. Besides, this movie has a leg up on Iron Man already: Natalie Portman.
