Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Teasers Deliver New Footage
These are exciting days to be a Star Wars fan. The number of days until the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is dwindling, and the marketing department is moving into their final push. This morning we got the first official poster for the latest sequel, and now we have a series of teasers to prep us for tomorrow's trailer:
We learned this morning that the next trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be playing during the halftime break of Monday Night Football tomorrow, but thanks to these new videos (courtesy of JoBlo) we have a taste of what we can expect. The one above is all about showcasing the brand new characters who are being introduced in the latest chapter for the saga - including Daisy Ridley's Rey, Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron, John Boyega's Finn and Adam Driver's Kylo Ren - but there are two more spots where those came from that are more dedicated towards singular moments:
This one, for example, showcases that there is some kind of friendly relationship that we can expect between Poe (an X-Wing pilot) and Finn (who we know at least starts the film as a Stormtrooper). This friendship was actually teased back during Star Wars Celebration in April, but this is actually the first time we've seen footage of the two characters interacting.
Finally, we have what is really a very ominous clip. The sound that accompanies an incoming TIE fighter is legendary at this point, and this short little spot uses the cue surprisingly well to inspire dread. Knowing what those fighters are capable of, especially in great numbers, that look on Rey's face is totally justified.
When the brand new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens drops tomorrow night - and presumably delivers information/footage we've been wanting to know/see for a long time - you can be sure that we will respond with some seriously in-depth coverage and analysis. So stay tuned for that, and continue to join us in the coming days, weeks and months as we get ready for the film's ridiculously anticipated release on December 18th!
