It’s difficult to find a copy of the special with working audio (due to copyright issues), but this video pretty much sums up the Holiday Special … and the effect it had on people like Harrison Ford:

Which means that, so far, the account is a nice mixture of the franchise’s legacy, and its place in a modern movie landscape. A good first step for J.J. Abrams and his team as they prepare to relaunch a massive series after a long break (and the imbalanced "Prequel Trilogy"). The Instagram posting follows up the R2-D2 picture that Bad Robot shared on its Twitter feed – more usage of social media. Smart.
