You can never have too many reporter fights his way to the truth movies. Actually with the rapidly dwindling respect for freedom of the press in our modern world, we could probably use a few more of them.
State of Play has Russell Crowe leading an all-star cast in a film that looks like a mix of All the President’s Men and The Pelican Brief. Ok, it’s probably a little more Pelican Brief. Also working against it is Ben Affleck in a leading role. I thought we’d all agreed Ben would stay behind the camera from now on? Cut the guy some slack, because the movie’s first trailer is here and it’s a solid looking, journalism thriller. Watch it in high-res over at Yahoo or watch it below:
