Stephen Dorff Joins War Of The Gods

Yes, I know Clash of the Titans hasn't even come out yet, but there's already a pseudo-knockoff in the works that's in the casting process, so promise me you won't get confused. The Fall director Tarsem Singh is hard at work on casting War of the Gods, which will follow a hero as he tries to defeat Greek titans. OK, forget it, I'm confused too.

But here's one handy rule of thumb: only one movie has Stephen Dorff in it, and that movie is War of the Gods. Variety reports that Dorff has signed on to play Stavros, "a master thief who joins Theseus [Henry Cavill] on his quest to help free Greece from the dark threat of the Titans." Also rounding out the cast are Kellan Lutz, Freida Pinto and Mickey Rourke, all of whom will find themselves in Montreal this April to start filming. Obviously War of the Gods doesn't have the same cast cachet as Titans (Liam Neeson! Ralph Fiennes! Sam Worthington!), but without spoiling anything, I'll just say I still believe Gods may turn out to be the better film, Dorff or no Dorff.
