Stills Stampede: Sundance Stand Outs
With Oscar nominations and superfluous Sundance reports flooding the internet, there’s not much in the way of normal movie news. But there is plenty of Sundance info floating around. Below we have pictures from four of the most high profile films showing this week at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. The first batch is from a horror thriller called The Signal. It’s being called one of the fest’s great discoveries. The second group of images is from Son of Rambow, a coming of age story which Paramount Vantage just bought for $8 million. The third bunch of stills is from the controversial Dakota Fanning movie Hounddog. It’s controversial because it’s about child rape, and it’s not shy about showing it. The last pair of pics is from Joshua, another recent Sundance sale and the Sundance film with the best title.
