Supernatural Powers, Super Lame Posters

The main characters of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lighting Thief.

I'm super picky about posters. If I'm going to like them they need to be unique, artistic, and at least somewhat representative of what the movie will have going for it. And these new Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief posters don't really have any of that.

As you can see below, our hero is not only impervious to the wettening effects of water upon fabric and hair, but also is malicious in a terrorist sort of way as he's clearly about to start hurling electrified swords at an unsuspecting New York city. How can I trust you when you're so angry, Percy Jackson? I'm calling Homeland Security.

Furthermore, which marketing genius decided that the elusive “President's Day” was worth using to help sell the movie? I don't know when that day is. Not which day of the week, or even what month, and I don't think I'm alone. When someone hires me to market their movie, my suggestion will be to release it on “Arbor Day” so we can show those Percy Jackson amateurs how marketing is really done.

Thanks to Bad Taste and Just Jared for collecting these “gems” for all of us to enjoy. You can check out a larger version of the poster below, and a few others, at either of those sites.
