Take A Deep Breath
"All I need is the air that I breathe and to love youuuuu"
You know that song, right? Lie and tell me that you do. It's by "The Hollies" if you want to add that to your Ipod list. But yeah, back to movie news.
According to Variety, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ken Watanabe and Diego Luna are in negotiations to join the movie The Air I Breathe. (Editor's Note:There's a sentence I never thought I'd read - Gellar and Watanabe in the same movie?) Jieho Lee will be directing (and writing with Bob DeRosa) for Emilio Diez Barroso's Nala Films, and Paul Schiff Productions.
The film is a crime drama about an ancient Chinese proverb. You know, those little tidbits of wisdom and advice to better guide your life, that we all magically forget to use in our lives. The characters in The Air I Breathe are particularly drawn to a proverb that breaks life down into four emotional segments: happiness, pleasure, sorrow and love. Intesting that only one of those are negative. Guess the ancient Chinese weren't quite the cynics of today.
Considering the cast (Gellar of "Buffy" and Watanabe of Last Samurai), expect plenty of ass-kicking in the flick. Shooting begins in Mexico City in the lovely month of January (Editor's Note:A film with an american icon about a Chinese proverb filming in Mexico City... makes as much sense as Gellar and Watanabe being paired up)
