Thor: The Dark World Teaser Trailer Arrives Online
UPDATE! A second trailer for Thor: The Dark World has now also been released. Watch it below...
Marvel's Iron Man 3 is so close that we can practically taste it, but the sad truth is that we still have a long time to wait for Thor: The Dark World. Unlike 2011, when Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger were released within just a couple of months of each other, Marvel Studios has chosen to enter the fall season with their next Norse god adventure, with the movie arriving in theaters November 8th. Thankfully we'll be able to watch the above trailer, which comes to us via Apple, many, many times over the coming months to help abate our need for even more superhero action.
Directed by Alan Taylor, best known for his work on HBO series like Game of Thrones and Rome, Thor: The Dark World finds the mighty titular character (Chris Hemsworth) return to Asgard with the war criminal Loki (Tom Hiddleston) only to find himself facing off against an enemy that threatens to plunge the entire universe into darkness: the powerful Malekith the Accursed (Christopher Eccleston) and his army of Dark Elves. Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins all reprise their roles from the 2011 Kenneth Branagh film, while Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Zachary Levi serve as new additions to the cast, playing Algrim and Fandral, respectively.
And that's not all the Thor: The Dark World action we have for you. Click over HERE to see two brand new stills that were released earlier today and scope out the movie's awesome teaser poster below.
