Three Can Play This Game

My earliest, and perhaps only, memory of Vivica A. Fox is in a small, personal film called Independence Day. Granted there’s hardly a day that goes by that I don’t throw out a one liner from the Will Smith/Jeff Goldblum vs. Aliens classic, so it’s no surprise that I haven’t heard of Fox’s 2001 film Two Can Play That Game. If you don’t remember that one either, you better hit the video store for a refresher because Fox has signed to produce and star in the sequel Three Can Play That Game, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

You might as pick up the sequel while you are at the video store, because it looks like this one will go direct to DVD. However, given the first one made $22 million at the box office and only cost $6 million to make, there’s a high chance of a theatrical release.

Fox will return as Shante Smith -- a relationship expert who uses here super-human-like knowledge of the male intellect to help women get what they want. $10 says that she can’t get a man of her own, despite her prowess. Hmm… sounds like another Smith classic called Hitch. So what? I like Will Smith. Welcome to Earth!
