We know what you’re thinking, there’s no way in hell this headline can be true. We promise, we don’t make these things up. While X-Men: Apocalypse is not getting the best reviews, it appears that the film’s quality did not dampen the spirits of the actors involved. Sophie Turner apparently had a blast working with Jennifer Lawrence on set. The best part was when J-Law punched her in the vagina.
The Game of Thrones actress was recently interviewed by JustJared, when the topic shifted over to what it was like working with Jennifer Lawrence. Sophie Turner says wonderful things about Lawrence, but when the interviewer makes a comment about the Academy Award winner being fun, Turner breaks out this little anecdote to describe the fun they had together.
She punched me in the vagina once. I didn't ask her to either. It just happened. Evan [Peters] and I were having a fake fight and I said something like, ‘I'll cunt punch you,’ or ‘I'll punch you in the crotch.’ And then Jen thought that I said, ‘Please cunt punch me, Jen.’ So she punched me in the vagina and I was like, ‘Awesome.’ It was pretty funny.
Can we all just revel in the gloriousness that is Sophie Turner for a moment? Sansa just became my new favorite character, for this reason alone. On the whole, it’s a funny little story, but there are some really great lines here. Sophie Turner feels obligated to make it clear that she didn’t ask Jennifer Lawrence to punch her in the crotch. Because, of course, if she had asked Lawrence to do it, then it would have made the story make so much more sense. Honestly, if she had asked for it, I’d want more details.
Then, of course, you have the fact that Jennifer Lawrence apparently thought a co-star had asked her to punch them in the groin, and she felt obligated to do so. Unfortunately, this interview is not available in an audio format, because I swear, Sophie Turner saying "I’ll cunt punch you" would be my new ringtone.
If there’s anything this little event teaches us, it’s that the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse apparently had a lot of fun working on the film, and they’d probably be great fun to hang out with. Hopefully, this camaraderie comes through on the screen. While Apocalypse doesn’t look like the sort of film where this particular sort of fun is had, it does include a dog eating pizza, so there’s that.
