Jackie Chan offers up the karate. Tucker offers up the quick one liners. What’s missing from that formula that could possibly make Rush Hour 3 any better than the first two movies? How about the Muscles from Brussles!
Rumor has it (we’ll get to where from in a minute) that Jean-Claude Van Damme will be joining the cast of Rush Hour 3 as the new villain taking on Chan and Tucker. This would put the former action star back on the career path of Sylvester Stallone (Sly played the villain in Spy Kids 3-D) and possibly guarantee that he finally has a post-2000 movie that more than immediate family will see.
The rumor is certainly making the rounds on the internet today, making a designated source a little difficult to find. We’re going to credit JoBlo.com as the place we picked the story up from, although they’re crediting “Skinny” magazine and a movie blog among their sources, giving this just a bit more credibility than the “my sister’s cousin’s uncle told me” bit that it sounds like. Add to that the fact that Rush Hour 3 has already appeared as a rumored role on Van Damme’s IMDB profile and you have a great rumor with no actual substance to it. Here’s hoping though – I’d love to see Van Damme get his butt kicked by Jackie Chan.
