UPDATE: Quicksilver, Wolverine Lead Latest X-Men: Days Of Future Past Images

UPDATE: The mutants just keep coming. As part of their plan to unleash 25 X-Men covers tied to Days of Future Past, Empire keeps rolling out new images. We're planning on doing one splashy post at the end of the Empire run, but exclusive images of Quicksilver (Evan Peters) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) probably can't wait:

From Earlier: How can you confirm that Bryan Singer’s next X-Men movie, Days of Future Past, will offer an unprecedented number of mutant characters? Because we’re able to share 25 new images of standalone mutant characters, and I’m still not sure that we’ve covered every hero and villain who will have a part in the sprawling, superhero-laden summer epic.

Boasting "25 Covers – 25 Characters," the geek magazine Empire is revealing all of the covers and images Fox gave them throughout the day today. We’ll continue to add them to this post as the day continues. So far, Empire has shared five of the planned 25 covers. The one that really has us salivating is the first one, which Singer also shared on Twitter. We put it at the top of this page, because it’s our latest look at the mutant-hunting Sentinels… which fans have been DYING to see on screen probably even since the X-Men became a big-screen film franchise. This is

What else have we been able to see so far?

X-Men Havok

X-Men Toad

X-Men William Stryker

X-Men Trask

The top image is Lucas Till as Havok, a holdover from Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class and one of the few heroes we’ve been able to see so far. After Till comes Toad, who we reported would appear in a younger form in Singer’s new movie. (He’s being played in the film by Evan Jonigkeit.) The third image above is a familiar character from the X-Men film universe, but a new actor added to the fold. It’s Josh Helman playing mutant-hater William Stryker, the Big Bad in X2 memorably played by Bryan Cox. And finally, the latest Empire cover revealed this morning is of Peter Dinklage in character as Bolivar Trask.

There are SO MANY more characters still to come, seeing as how Days of Future Past is going to find a way to blend the 1970s-based First Class cast with Singer’s modern mutant family. So we get two Charles Xaviers (played by James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart), two Magnetos (played by Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen), and on and on. We’ll update this post throughout the day, or bring you new stories with the latest images. And keep an eye on Twitter today, because in addition to Singer, Hugh Jackman just dropped this Mystique shot on his own social media feed.
